Providing support

Since 2008, MEDS for Africa has helped support and improve the Kipsongo neighborhood of Kitale, Kenya. What began as five acres on the outskirts of Kitale donated to Turkana refugees fleeing tribal violence became a rural slum rife with disease, malnutrition, violence, and abuse. With the help of MEDS and similar organizations, Kipsongo is slowly improving. Water wells and pumps now provide clean water. The community now has electricity from the city grid. We have paid for school desks and our feeding program that now provides two meals a day including fresh fruit to over 250 children daily.
